Join us in Somerset this September for a rare chance to connect with the estate’s farming heritage and celebrate the abundance of the season with a special two-night Harvest centric stay.
The cusp of autumn brings the best of two seasons’ produce, so we’re making the most of nature’s generosity with an exclusive hands-on picking and preserving workshop with our Head of Productive Growing, David and Head of Food, Gelf.
Check in for two nights, from 28-30 September to experience all the best bits of a Newt stay, with a practical, insightful and delicious Harvest spin.
Pick Your Own
Your two-night stay includes a guided vegetable picking session with David and his joyful team of growers over at Avalon Farm. Found at the far reaches of the estate, Avalon is central to the seasonal spoils we grow year-round.
Pickle, Ferment, Preserve
Once trugs are filled, Gelf will lead a workshop on preservation, from jam-making to chutneys, pickling and fermenting and you’ll make your own seasonal preserves to bring home. Capped off with lunch at the Garden Café.
What’s Included:
• A two-night stay, checking in on 28 September and checking out on the 30 September including breakfast each morning
• A vegetable picking experience with our Head of Growing at Avalon Farm
• An introduction to seasonal produce and sustainable harvesting
• A hands-on preservation workshop with our Head of Food, including estate-made preserves to take home. Followed by a three-course set lunch for two, at the Garden Café

• 12-month Newt membership from the date of your stay
Should you wish to cancel your reservation, where a minimum two weeks’ notice is provided, a refund will be arranged upon request, where a minimum of 72 hours' notice is provided, we will gladly hold any payment as credit to enable you to re-arrange your stay. Offer may not be available on the new stay dates.
Should the booking be cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice, or in the event of non-arrival or early departure, full cancellations charges will apply.
